JK Rowling might just have restored the rabid fan gene; there’s no precedent for midnight book queues nor for the raging debates – from Severus Snape’s true nature to Albus Dumbledore’s inherent sexuality. The boy wizard and his lightning-shaped scar rekindled the dying publishing industry; children do care about reading, and books written primarily for them can appeal to young adults and adults as well.
